WTI March 2019 Newsletter
A Message from Jack
Spring is here. Our new year continues. Freight is forecasted to stay consistent with rates to remain steady at their current averages. However, it is suggested freight rates could increase as shippers find it more difficult to secure power; a good thing for us.
We are working hard to secure and continue offering freight and the solid rates we’ve seen these past six months. I appreciate your partnering with us throughout the winter months. It was very pleasing to see a number of items which, in my mind, speak to driver satisfaction and confidence. I believe our drivers’ satisfaction was strong as measured by the lowest 6 month turnover in company history, six consecutive months of driver growth, strong increases in our Lease Purchase fleet, climbing number of loads delivered, freight rate moving upwards which consistently stayed strong. Not many in the industry were able to do what we did together.
I appreciate all that you do to make WTI a successful company. Besides working a demanding, physical career which always puts you in the spot light, with safety, customer service and a persistent need for professionalism in public, you still must care for yourself and family. My door is always open. I welcome your comments and suggestions. I firmly believe we need to keep working with you and staying in tune with how things are going. I want WTI’s staff, to never lose sight of your “day in and day out” effort and sacrifice to make your career successful as well as that of WTI Transport.
I wish you a prosperous spring. As you are driving through this great land of ours, enjoying the beauty popping up all around, remember, always think safety first. Be safe and stay healthy.
